Summer steelhead season means clear water, warm days, and some of the most visual fishing of the year on the Olympic Peninsula. These  fish are quick to bite, incredibly fast once hooked, and known for repeated, acrobatic jumps that keep things exciting from start to finish. With the low, clear flows of summer, there are times we can actually spot fish in the water that are traveling up river, allowing us to sight fish on them and adding an extra level of excitement to the trip. Consistent action, beautiful weather, and the opportunity to bring fish home for the table make summer steelhead trips a favorite for many anglers.
