Kfish's Guide Service
About Us
We spend our seasons fishing the rivers of Grays Harbor and the Olympic Peninsula for salmon and steelhead. With more than 25 years on these waters, our days are planned around river conditions, fish movement, and timing. All of our trips are done from a drift boat or raft, which lets us slip quietly into the smaller, more intimate stretches of river where these fish travel. It’s a calm, scenic way to fish, surrounded by pristine water, old-growth timber, and the kind of landscape this region is known for.
Sharing knowledge is a big part of what we do. We walk through how to read water, why fish hold where they do, and the techniques that make a difference, so you leave with skills you can use long after the trip. Whether you’re a seasoned angler chasing a personal best, or brand new and hoping to land your first salmon or steelhead, we adjust the day to fit your experience level so you can relax, learn, enjoy your time on the river and experience some of the most beautiful waters that Washington has to offer.
Fisheries

Winter Steelhead
Come chase arguably the most sought-after fish in the Pacific Northwest; winter steelhead. Bright from the salt, these fish move through rivers that are known for producing true trophies, with a real chance at hooking a fish in the 20+ pound range in our rivers. Find out more of when is the best time to target these winter giants.
Salmon (Chinook, Coho + Chum)
From early September through December, our coastal rivers fill with chinook, coho, and chum salmon as they push in from the ocean to spawn. These hard fighting fish make for an action packed day and are a great way to put quality salmon in your freezer. Find out more about when each run peaks and what to expect on a salmon trip.
Summer Steelhead
Warm, sunny days and clear rivers set the scene for summer steelhead across the Olympic Peninsula. These hatchery fish are aggressive and known for high, acrobatic jumps, and great table fare you can take home! Learn more about our summer steelhead trips and timing.
Tiger Musky
Hot summer days and clear water make tiger musky one of the most exciting fisheries of the season. These fish often follow lures or flies right to the boat, and at any moment that slow follow can turn into an explosive strike. Learn more about our tiger musky trips and what to expect on the water.
