Salmon Fishing

Our salmon trips focus primarily on chinook and coho salmon as they move in from the ocean and push into our coastal rivers. These fish are fresh from the salt and are bright, powerful, and often still carrying sea lice; a clear sign of just how recently they entered the river and why they’re such excellent fighters, and incredibly tasty!

Chinook are known for their size and strength, powerful runs, head-shakes, and exciting days full of bobber-downs. Coho, on the other hand, are aggressive biters, which we primary target using spinners or twitching jigs, and are famous for their acrobatic jumps. Chum salmon are a common bonus throughout the season and can make for especially fun, action packed days, particularly for newer anglers who want steady opportunity and lots of bent rods.  These trips are timed around the freshest pushes of fish, giving you the best chance at experiencing salmon fishing the way it’s meant to be on Pacific Northwest rivers.
